Founders of underwater hotels can outstrip builders of underwater scientific bases in development of a sea-bottom. Anyway, projects of the first — make greater impression, and the main thing — find investors.

We imagine underwater research bases, mainly, on fantastic films (like "Chasm"). Real constructions look where more modestly.

However, if Americans realized the project " Ocean base 1 " (Ocean Base One), we would receive in the sizes, functionalities and depth of an arrangement something coming nearer to underwater bases from a film-fantasy.

This curious project was developed by the American Fund of ocean technology (Ocean Technology Foundation) within the limits of the program of research of interaction of an atmosphere and ocean.

The construction would remind trehnoguiu a stool which top part (platform) would tower above water on tens meters, and legs would rest against an ocean bottom on depth approximately 180 meters (the base intended for research of a shelf).

Above there would be a helicopter platform, life-support systems and devices for research of an atmosphere, and between "legs", on the day — the manned base with numerous premises, sluices and so on would lay, actually.

There, among other, there would be extensive comfortable compartments with the raised pressure of air that scientists and engineers could leave repeatedly on a ground and come back in the zzil'e without dekompressii.

Also here they could take advantage of research submarines for which original projects engineers prepared specially for this base.

Between a top of a construction and base on a ground, on a plan of authors of the project, the special lift which would do a stop on the middle of "legs" in so-called " a median water observatory " (a compartment with normal pressure of air) should ply.

Alas, the embodiment of this scale project has been suspended because of shortage of financing.

And here designers of underwater hotels, apparently, can find money for the ideas where more quickly.

For example, the chapter of project "Poseidon" (Poseidon) — Bruce Johns (Bruce Jones) — has received one of these days $40 million from investors to begin construction of magnificent hotel in which rooms will be shipped more than on 15 meters under water.

This five-stars hotel should be based upon ocean day at coast of island Eleutera on Bahamas.

Unlike " Small house ZZiulia " — visitors Posejdona should not put on a underwater suit and an aqualung to get in hotel. In fact engineers of the project have gone on the same way that conceived to use oceanologists in "unhappy" " to Base 1 ".

In magnificent numbers ($1,5 thousand for a night) lodgers will get on the escalator. Naturally, pressure in hotel will be usual, atmospheric.

Each room (the area of number will make 51 square meter) will be surrounded transparent akrilovymi by the walls of the big area opening a magnificent kind on coral gardens.

Numbers will be equipped by a jacuzzi (not with ocean water, certainly). Control panels will allow lodgers to switch on and off illumination of a bottom near number and even — distancionno to feed small fishes, involving them to windows.

Inside this hotel will not resemble at all internal compartments of any submarine. In furnish dear fabrics, a leather and a marble here will be used. And the big restaurant of hotel will make one turn about the axis in an hour, allowing having dinner not descending from a place to see all sights of a nearby bottom through huge akrilovye windows.

Also in hotel there will be shliuzovaia a chamber for skin-divers and a walking submarine.

By the way, authors of the project remind, that all over the world tourist submarines transport thousand passengers, and reliability of such technics for a long time is proved.

The same technologies will be used and in the hotel. Each room, by the way, will have emergency independent system life-support and the tight door isolating number from the general corridor.

If remember, the first-ever underwater hotel about which we have told in the first part, had only two numbers.

But even 20 numbers "Poseidona" simply grow gim before 220-th rooms of hotel " Hydropolicy " (Hydropolis) which construction just about should begin in Dubai, on coast of Persian gulf.

Its numbers ($500 for a night) should lay on depth of 20 meters. The concert hall, a dancing hall and restaurant of hotel will be also under water.

Alas, while investors have provided only small part of necessary financing and consequently construction, in general, plainly and has not begun.

But "Hydropolicy", probably, becomes the most magnificent and impressing building such. It is enough to tell, that its underwater area (not including a ground part where it will be located, for example, a rack of the manager), will make 75 thousand square meters.

The dancing hall will be the most important and most attractive construction of "Hydropolicy".

Its dome will partially leave from under water, opening visitors simultaneously the kind and on the underwater world, and on the sky, and in its top at the beautiful nights can open a window, enabling sounds and light to get " on a bottom of hotel ".

In general, the scientists, wishing to observe small fishes, can reserve numbers.

By the way, founders "Poseidona", after realization of the project on Bahamas, are measured to construct two more copies of this hotel — in the Emirates and Belize.
