Easier speaking, the plan consists that when space transport will get in an operative range of gravitational forces of the Earth or Mars, it will not stop — its speed will decrease, but landing should not be carried out.

James Longusski's group (James Longuski), professors of Aeronautics and Astronautics of University Purdu in Indianapolis is engaged in calculations. As he said, once the "started" hotel will move almost by inertia. Naturally, for braking and accelerations will be used kinds of fuel available on today, however the basic loading will lay down on gravitational waves.
In opinion Longusski, complexity of calculations consists that the orbit of Mars represents more izognutyi an ellipse, than the Earth is means, that the distance between planets periodically varies. Besides speed of the ship when it comes nearer to one of planets, should be enough low that it was possible to carry out loading and unloading. Longusski and its pupils already have experience of calculation of a trajectory of spacecrafts — more recently they have simulated a trajectory of flight of the unmanned ship to one of satellites of the Floodlight — the Europe which start is planned for 2006.
Group Oldrina suggests to use empty fuel tanks shuttle with expired working life which are now dumped in space and burn down in an atmosphere, for constructional work on saiklere.
The authority of the scientific organizations which are included into the project headed Oldrinom, allows to predict, at least, ser'eznoe the attitude from NASA which any more the first year conducts project VentureStar — new model which should replace "shuttle".
VentureStar it is intended only for cargo distant transportations and it will be approved in 2005. VentureStar is less romantic, but "is hammered strong together" — the new design is intended for greater thermal loadings, fuel tanks easier, the new engine is developed.
Meanwhile, offers on creation of space hotels — though take away, and their quantity has sharply increased after flight of the first space tourist.
Among most "untwisted" — declared the intentions to dictate a fashion in turistko-architectural space design — it is possible to name Japanese architect Shimizu, company Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo, Robert Biglou.
Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo (Honolulu) declare, that by 2017 can equip completely orbital hotel on 100 person which lodgers will eat there and then grown up products, to leave in a free space and to have a good time in weightlessness.
DaimlerChrysler Aerospace offers something similar, but on 280 person.
Biglou, owner Budget Suites of America lodging chain, oderzzimyi idea of space hotels, has allocated $500 million (!) for construction of space hotel which will make cruises from the Earth on the Moon and back. Specially under this project company Bigelow Aerospace has been created.
Certainly, space tourism should involve "monsters" of hotel network Hilton who have already declared readiness to participate in the project of orbital hotel. Representative Hilton Hotels Inc. Dzzenni Datc (Jeannie Datz) has declared, that Hilton will be the first space hotel.
Still couple of years back these applications resembled a sharing of a skin not killed and cheap PR. Now, similar, among earthmen the present gold fever of space tourism has begun. |
